Seven - The Lord's Number

Seven is the number of the Lord.  For redeems all things in seven.  For on the seventh day he redeemed the creation of the world.  And in the seventh year He shall redeem all of mankind.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) Who can understand the Lord, the almighty One who creates and destroys? For the Lord has power and dominion over us all. But in His infinite mercy and grace, He has granted mankind His favor, for He shall forgive all men in seven, for in “two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.” (Daniel 8:14) For all things were perfected in seven. For the Lord delivered mankind in seven. For on the seventh day, the Lord would rest from creation, so that man could prosper and live. (Genesis 2:2-3) And when God removed all evil from the earth, He commanded that Noah place in the arc, seven of each creature that they may live. (Genesis 7:2-3) And it was in the seventh month of that year, that God saved His creation from the flood. (Genesis 8:4) And when God sent Joseph to Egypt, the pharaoh stored up produce for seven years, that all of the nations could live. (Genesis 41:26) And the servants were released in seven years, so that they could live and be free. (Exodus 21:2) And Joshua camped by Jericho for seven days, and on the seventh day marched around the city seven times, and the seven priests blew their seven trumpets seven times. “And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: ‘Shout, for the Lord has given you the city!’” (Joshua 6:4,15,16) For the Lord has promised we shall live in seven, for “He shall deliver you in six troubles, yes, in seven no evil shall touch you.” (Job 5:19)
