The Music of the Prophecy by Witness the Prophecy The Seventh Trumpet A Prelude to the Seven Trumpets
To Andrew the Prophet A Work in Progress Music is the voice which transcends all languages, for music was first used by the Israelites to give praise to the Lord for His blessings. “David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their relatives the singers, with instruments of music, harps, lyres, loud-sounding cymbals,to raise sounds of joy.” (1 Chronicles 15:16) And when the music was played, the temple was filled with the glory of God. “And when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the Lord saying, ‘He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting,’ then the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.’” (2 Chronicles 5:13-14)
And the trumpets were played to warn of His coming. For when the Lord descended down to Mount Sinai, a very loud trumpet could be heard. “So it came about on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunder and lightning flashes and a thick cloud upon the mountain and a very loud trumpet sound, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.” (Exodus 19:16) And the trumpets were a warning that His people would come. “So the people shouted, and priests blew the trumpets; and when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted with a great shout and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight ahead, and they took the city. They utterly destroyed everything in the city, both man and woman, young and old,and ox and sheep and donkey, with the edge of the sword.” (Joshua 6:20-21) And the prophets forewarned that the final trumpets would sound. “As soon as a standard is raised on the mountains, you will see it, and as soon as the trumpet is blown, you will hear it. For thus the Lord has told me, ‘I will look from My dwelling place quietly like dazzling heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest. For before the harvest, as soon as the bud blossoms and the flower becomes a ripening grape, then He will cut off the sprigs with pruning knives and remove and cut away the spreading branches.” (Isaiah 18:3-5) For the trumpet will sound when all of the nations come together to worship the Lord. “It will come about also in that day that a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were perishing in the land of Assyria and who were scattered in the land of Egypt will come and worship the Lord in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 27:13) But many have failed to heed the trumpets warning. For as the Lord said “I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet’' but they said, ‘We will not listen.’ Therefore hear, O nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their plans, because they have not listened to My words, and as for My law, they have rejected it also.” (Jeremiah6:17-19) For the trumpets sound a warning that the earth will quake and fall. “Lift up a signal in the land, blow a trumpet among the nations! Consecrate the nations against her, summon against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni and Ashkenaz; appoint a marshal against her, bring up the horses like bristly locusts. Consecrate the nations against her, the kings of the Medes, their governors and all their prefects, and every land of their dominion. So the land quakes and writhes, for the purposes of the Lord against Babylon stand, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without inhabitants.” (Jeremiah 51:27-29) For His people have been given this order: “Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming; surely it is near.” (Joel 2:1) “And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.” (Revelation 8:2) For on that day that the Lord returns, the seven trumpets shall sound, and woe to the earth for her iniquities are great.
