The Distance from God

The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy, The Prophecy

Man is separated by distance from God.  For distance is defined by space and by time.  By time and space shall soon end.  And man shall no longer be distanced from God.

Distance is the space that stretches between two masses. And man stretched out his hand a short distance, so that he could know of good and evil, so that he could live forevermore. "Then the Lord God said, 'Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever." (Genesis 3:22) And distance is derived from the Latin word distantia which means "to stand apart". For through the the knowledge of evil, man would stand apart from God."Therefore the Lord God sent him out from the Garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life." (Genesis 3:23-24) And likewise distance refers to the duration of time. For man has been separated from God a long time. "Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me. Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it; yes, let him recount it to Me in order, from the time that I established the ancient nation and let them declare to them the things that are coming and the events that are going to take place. " (Isaiah 44:6-7) But distance and space are limited by time, and time shall be slain at the end. "He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken. And it will be said in that day, behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation." (Isaiah 25:8-9)
